Value change over the years

According to my nearly assessment, I see that I have changed some values comparing to the very first time I have done such an assessment. Do you all have the same feeling?

Hello!! Need suggestion for Newby

Hello!!! How can I assure that the core value I get from the test is REAL? Please suggest

Hi, I can't seem to find the results. Where can we see the results?

i can't find the results of the paid assessments. Is there a specific tab?

Hi Andreia! If you're asking about a tab to find the assessment results for those who have completed the assessment using your customized link, then my experience is that it's not something that is offered on the DYV site. At least I haven't learned about it. I usually ask the person I'm coaching to take the assessment, download a PDF of it, and then email it to me so we can use it in our next coaching session.

Do others have a different experience of this? If so, please share! Be well, everyone!

Hello everyone ! i am new and excitded to be in this community that speaks about the value of an indiviual.

Inconsistency in grading scale for online test versus the printed test and the theory

Hi Jacob,

I am raising a question that I think, if it wasn't for one of my clients to raise the point (with a background in statistics), I would have never noticed.

The grading scale for the online test starts from 0 to 7, and it's not in line with the theory provided in Schwartz's research and studies, where the grading scale is (-1, 0, 1, ...., 7), intentionally left asymmetrical to counteract the biases of people taking the test. While I don't understand fully the background of all these assumptions, my simple question is whether the online test is valid considering this grading that deviates from the original method of Schwartz. Also in the grading scale, each number has a label, for example, -1 means totally opposed to my values, while in the online, there is no indication for the grading or what each number chosen means.

Secondly, in the same theory provided, and also I read the same in other of Schwartz's studies, Hedonism, seems to be a value theme that is shared for both Openess to Change and Self-Enhacement, while in the circular structure depicted in the course and also in the pdf Hedonism is placed only on the Openess to Change quadrant. Is that intentional, and if yes, what is the reason behind?

Thank you for looking into this and appreciate any clarifications.

Also, if anyone else noticed this and already has the answers, please feel free to share in the community.

Best wishes,

Ana

I concur with your scoring call-out. I would also love to see this scoring issue addressed and to add some guardrails to the assessment so that clients can score a maximum of two values with 7. I can't tell you how many clients' results I've seen with every value scored at 7. I then have to reinterpret the results with them live so I can get an accurate understanding of how to plot their values on the wheel.

I'd like to practice this values based coaching. Is anyone up for this practice?

Ana - I am happy to share - good question! I use the assessment and then a 75 minute discussion on values with new clients as an exploratory topic. It's helpful for me to get an understanding of their values before we begin coaching, and I often find we refer back to those discussions later when they are needing to recenter.

I also use the assessment with larger groups when I'm doing a presentation on personal and workplace values. They complete the assessment ahead of the presentation and then come together to learn more about the methodology, talk about how values show up for them, and explore where they might want to honor a specific value more. We do full group discussion and then some breakouts into smaller groups, typically. It's fun and enlightening for them and I love to do those sessions, too!

Happy to chat more if you want to set up a quick meeting on my calendar here:

Thank you so much Liz for your reply and useful comments. I've booked a meeting with you for 2nd March, I believe we are on different time zones so it was the closest I could find where the hours match. Looking forward speaking to you! Happy New Year and best of success and health in 2023!

It won’t download

Just bought the values, however it won’t download - I can’t do the assessment or anything

Where to find interpretation sheets

I took the assessment and went onto the next section on Interpreting Your Values but it only contained a video.  Where do I go to find the assessment interpretation sheets for me that are shown in the video?
